Woodstock Willie has once again predicted an early spring Sunday morning during the 2025 Groundhog Day celebration in northwest suburban Woodstock. A large crowd gathered to see if they would need to hold onto their coats for a few more weeks or start getting together their spring clothes.

Hundreds flocked to Woodstock Square to hear Woodstock Willie’s prediction and learn if there will be an early spring or winter for the next six weeks on Sunday. The prognostication was read by a familiar face — Stephen Tobolowsky,

Sunday morning marked Groundhog Day, with Punxsutawney Phil and numerous other groundhogs across the country, including Woodstock Willie, making their prediction on whether we will see an early spring or six more weeks of winter.
