Trader Joe’s, the popular grocery chain known for its unique brands, laid-back charm and customer loyalty, is expanding this year with a dozen new stores. Store number 584 will be in Berwyn, Pennsylvania. That will bring the total in Pennsylvania to 14, including two in Philadelphia and three in Pittsburgh.

The small-format grocer has opened several Portland metro stores the past few years, including in Oak Grove, east Vancouver and southwest Portland. The Oak Grove store, which opened at 15574 S.E. McLoughlin Blvd., was its 15th in Oregon. It has another three in Vancouver.

The popular grocery chain is set to open at least a dozen new locations next year, including three in Southern California.
