The Tallahassee area is under a rare Winter Storm Warning for a potential weather event that would be remembered for generations. Freezing rain, sleet, snow and rain are expected Tuesday night into Wednesday to combine for a wintry mix that could disrupt daily life.

Forecasters couldn’t rule out the possibility that Tallahassee could see a record snowfall on Tuesday or Wednesday morning from a rare winter storm that may be talked about for generations.
