De'Aaron Fox led the Spurs with 23 points, and rookie Stephon Castle was the only other Spur to crack the 20-point mark. The Spurs will enter the break with a 23-29 record.

The Boston Celtics were determined to enter the All-Star break on a positive note. They had a dismal start to the calendar year. The defending NBA champions lost six of their first 14 games. This included four losses on their home court.

The Celtics enter the All-Star winning seven of their last eight games after beating the Spurs on their home court.
