The Giants snapped a six-game losing streak on Friday night at Citi Field with a 4-3 victory in 10 innings over the New York Mets. All-Star Randy Rodríguez, the team’s new closer after Tyler Rogers and Camilo Doval were traded, recorded his first save (and second overall) in his new role.

The Mets were held to four hits and were hitless in the final five innings as they suffered their seventh loss in the last eight games.

The San Francisco Giants will give the start to Robbie Ray (9-5, 2.85 ERA), who is looking for win No. 10 on the season, and the Pirates will counter with Andrew Heaney (5-9, 4.89 ERA). The Giants beat the Pirates 8-1 yesterday,
