In Texas, health officials say a measles outbreak is the state’s largest in nearly 30 years. As of Tuesday at least 58 people in rural West Texas were diagnosed. And it appears to have spread to New Mexico, where eight people are sick from a smaller outbreak.

With hospitalizations and at least nine confirmed cases, health officials race to contain a growing outbreak in a community with low vaccination
