The secretary general of South Korea's National Election Commission defended the integrity of the country's elections on Tuesday amid claims by impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol that votes may have been compromised.

South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol appeared at the Constitutional Court on Tuesday for another session of the ongoing impeachment trial that will determine his political fate.

The Constitutional Court has not set the schedule for future hearings. If no additional sessions are designated, President Yoon's impeachment trial will conclude with the 8th hearing. In that case, there is speculation that the court could deliver a ruling on the case in March.

South Korean prosecutors indicted on Monday 63 people for their role in storming a court building last month to protest the detention of impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol, with some facing charges carrying up to a seven-year jail term,
