A tech company whose boss was filmed hugging a colleague at a Coldplay concert has said a purported statement from him expressing remorse is fake.

"Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy is currently serving as interim CEO given Andy Byron has been placed on leave," a statement from the company read. The decision came after Byron was spotted hugging a woman, later identified as Kristin Cabot.

Last Wednesday, while at the Coldplay concert in Boston, Byron and Kristin Cabot, a top HR executive at Astronomer, were caught canoodling on the big screen.

Now, social media has been amplifying a couple of different 'statements' issued by Byron's wife, Megan Kerrigan Byron, about how she's going to leave him, how she's "not crying for clowns" and is getting ready to cash in on the divorce.
