Today, the company is announcing not one, not two, but three different families of chips designed to take it there, including final confirmation of the long-rumored “Strix Halo” and “Fire Range” laptop chips.

AMD has released the Ryzen AI MAX 300 series APUs under the Strix Halo brand, featuring up to 16 Zen 5 CPU cores and 40 RDNA 3.5 Compute Units. This new APU architecture integrates advanced Zen 5 processing with RDNA 3.
