Members of the New Zealand White Ferns cricket team which beat South Africa by 32 runs in the final of the women’s Twenty20 World Cup in Dubai Sunday will split prize money of around US$2.3 million.

New Zealand women's captain Sophie Devine said that she's drawing inspiration from the men's team which beat India by eight wickets in the first Test in Bengaluru to register their first Test win in India after 36 years.

However, the White Ferns managed to turn around their luck in Dubai on Sunday, as they won their first ever T20 World Cup title. The team with extraordinary performances by Ameila Kerr and Brooke Halliday, beat South Africa in the highly anticipated finals by a substantial 32 runs.
