Police in Wakefield are investigating a double shooting that occurred on Tuesday night. Two men were shot in car on Lakeshore Drive shortly before 8 p.m., police said. According to I-Team sources, police are searching for possibly more than one suspect. The victims were taken to area hospitals for treatment.

Two people were shot in Wakefield Tuesday night in what appears to be a targeted incident, police said. The shooting happened just after 7 p.m. on Lakeshore Drive, Wakefield Police said in a Facebook post. Police flooded the area, along with the area near Cumberland Farms on Lowell Street.

Police in Wakefield are looking for an "unknown number of suspects" after two people were shot in a cul-de-sac near Route 129 and Lake Quannapowitt Tuesday night.
