The first flight carrying Venezuelan migrants deported from the United States lands in to Venezuela, after the two governments reached an agreement Saturday to resume repatriation flights.

The Venezuelan government attributed a willingness to receive the flights to the plight of Venezuelan migrants sent to notorious prisons in El Salvador with little to no due process.

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has called for the return of the Venezuelan migrants sent by the U.S. to El Salvador, where President Nayib Bukele said they were transferred to a mega-prison.
