President Donald Trump’s spending cuts and border security package would inject hundreds of billions of dollars into his mass deportation agenda.

As part of the so-called “ Big, Beautiful Bill” passed Thursday, Congress appropriated approximately $170 billion to fund the construction of new immigration detention centers, an increased budget for Immigrations and Customs Enforcement and the Department of Homeland Security and additions to Trump’s U.S.-Mexico border wall.

The bill includes a major federal investment for President Trump's mass deportation plans, while also limiting eligibility for some safety net programs based on immigration status.
