Russia and Ukraine are preparing to hold a new prisoners of war (POWs) exchange mediated by Turkey after the second round of peace talks, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on June 2 at the Bucharest Nine (B9) summit.

Russia and Ukraine began a major prisoner exchange, swapping hundreds of soldiers and civilians in the first phase of an exchange that was a moment of cooperation in otherwise failed efforts to reach a ceasefire in the 3-year-old war.

We assume that it will probably be 1,200 people on each side, and this will again be the largest exchange of prisoners of war,' says Vladimir Medinsky
