"There is an obviously 'gendered' aspect to Super Bowl snacks," and this "perhaps explains the utilitarian nature of the foods," a professor told Newsweek.

According to a survey of 2,000 U.S. adults over the age of 21, less than half actually care about which football team comes out on top in February (48%). Results found that one in four respondents is more interested in the food than the game, and 54% believe that the food spread has the power to make or break the entire experience.

Super Bowl LIX will be on February 9 at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, and experts disagree about what teams will make it.
