PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Steelers owner Art Rooney II says there are “positive signs” that Aaron Rodgers will play in Pittsburgh. The four-time NFL MVP worked out recently with new Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf after previously visiting the team.
As the NFL offseason continues, the league awaits a decision out of Aaron Rodgers, who remains a free agent into April. The veteran quarterback has, of course, been heavily linked to the Steeler. Last month he made a trip to Pittsburgh to visit their facility and earlier this week had a throwing session with wide receiver DK Metcalf.
The Pittsburgh Steelers will sign a veteran quarterback this offseason, even if it is not Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers has yet to make a decision, but when asked if the team needed a veteran quarterback, general manager Omar Khan made it quite clear.
