It’s game day in America — and not just for the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. There will be 131 canines taking the field for Animal Planet’s annual Puppy Bowl event, continuing a tradition of counterprogramming television’s biggest day with a bunch of good boys and girls.

The 21st annual Puppy Bowl takes place Sunday ahead of Super Bowl 59 . Puppy Bowl XXI features puppies on Team Ruff and Team Fluff competing in a mutt-size football stadium for the Wayfair Lombarky Trophy. This year, the competition has 142 rescue puppies from 80 shelters across 40 states and two countries.
