Brock Bowers is rewriting the NFL record books Sunday. The Las Vegas Raiders tight end now has the most receiving yards for a tight end in his rookie season in NFL history, breaking Mike Ditka's 63-year old record for most receiving yards by a tight end in his rookie season in the second quarter of Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints .

Bowers, the Raiders tight end, broke the league record for single-season receptions by a rookie one year after Nacua set the mark.

In the third quarter, Bowers broke the NFL record for receptions in a rookie season, surpassing the mark of 105 catches set by Los Angeles Rams receiver Puka Nacua last season. Later in the quarter, he matched Darren Waller’s franchise record for most receptions in a season with his 107th catch.

Brock Bowers and Malik Nabers could both tie or surpass the rookie receptions record set by Nacua last season.
