Czech leaders have condemned apparent threats made by former Russian president and prime minister Dmitry Medvedev against NHL great Dominik Hasek for his critical stance on the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Czech government leaders came to the defense of former international ice hockey star Dominik Hasek on Wednesday after what they said were death threats from former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, calling such comments unacceptable.

Former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev threatened NHL legend Dominik Hasek, the Hockey Hall of Famer said in a post on social media this week.
