Unlike the Tesla Cybertruck, the Ford F-150 Lightning is about as traditional as electric pickup trucks get. Unless you knew what you were looking for, you’d probably just think the Lightning was a regular F-150.

With 22,807 units sold in the first nine months of the year, up by 86% from last year, Ford has been selling the F-150 Lightning well. However, the Blue Oval marque is hard-pressed to move more of its electric trucks by offering huge incentives to dealers – deals that can potentially affect its pricing and make it more attractive to EV buyers.

Ford is incentivizing dealers to move its F-150 Lightning electric trucks. Through a new pilot program, dealers can earn up to $22,500.

Dealers can make $22,500 by ordering 15 F-150 Lightnings from regional EV distribution centers designed to reduce carrying costs and give customers quicker access to more inventory.

Ford dealerships across the US could receive up to $22,500 in bonuses for 2024 F-150 Lightning models they order from one of the carmaker’s Rapid Replenishment Centers (RRP). These centers serve as regional distribution facilities and allow dealers to stock fewer EVs in their showrooms.
