There were approximately 200 people gathered at Young Park, 850 S. Walnut St., in Las Cruces, for a car meetup when the mass shooting occurred, according to the Las Cruces Police Department and court records.

Las Cruces police charged 20-year-old Tomas Rivas, two 17-year-old boys and a 15-year-old boy for a shooting at Young Park Friday night. During a press conference Tuesday afternoon, LCPD shared the suspects' previous criminal history.
