The HEMI might make a comeback into the new-generation Dodge Charger, currently offered as an EV or with the inline-six twin-turbocharged Hurricane

There’s no word on performance specs, but the old 5.7-liter V8 produced 372 hp (277 kW / 377 PS) while the 6.4-liter engine cranked out 485 hp (362 kW / 492 PS). That’s not impressive anymore as the twin-turbo 3.0-liter Hurricane inline-six is expected to have outputs of 420 hp (313 kW / 426 PS) and 550 hp (410 kW / 558 PS).

The Charger could have even more powertrain choices, as a new report claims the Hemi engines will return alongside the EV and six-cylinder models.
