A new report says at least 112 North American bird species have lost more than half their populations in the past 50 years.

Leftwich is familiar with the Ducks, having coached alongside A'lique Terry and Mike Cavanaugh as recently as 2023 before departing for Denton to take over as the OL coach for North Texas.

Zane Denton hit .269 with 16 homers and a team-high 59 RBIs at Tennessee in 2023, but did not return for the 2024 and transferred in June.

North Texas is set to lose another one of its assistant coaches in what has been an offseason of change for the program.
