The cyclonic storm is likely to make landfall near Puri and Sagar coast in Odisha on October 24-24. IMD has issued heavy rainfall alert for several districts of Odisha and West Bengal.

Schools and anganwadis in Bengaluru are closed today due to heavy rains, with a precautionary holiday declared by the District Collector. Meanwhile, the IMD has issued a weather warning as a cyclonic storm approaches the Bay of Bengal.
