Oilers captain Connor McDavid sustained a lower-body injury and has been ruled out from playing in the third period in Edmonton’s home game against the Western Conference-leading Winnipeg Jets.

The Edmonton Oilers lost both a game and another superstar Thursday, falling 4-3 in overtime to the Winnipeg Jets after Connor McDavid left with a lower-body injury.

Knoblauch said McDavid will be sidelined for “maybe a week” with a lower-body injury, while Draisaitl’s timeline is “up to a week.”
