Actor Johnny Depp taking the stand in the Amber Heard trial reportedly caused mixed feelings among his lawyers.

Heard’s attorneys, however, were absent from the special. Elaine Charlson Bredehoft, who represented the actress during the trial, told People earlier this year that it was a “huge mistake” to allow the legal battle to be televised, adding, “social media completely hijacked that trial.”

This is likely a sentiment that's been shared by countless attorneys over the years. But with the high stakes and accusations of abuse made by Amber Heard, keeping Depp calm and collected was likely doubly important. And losing his temper could potentially change the way the jury perceived the 61 year-old actor.
