Wonyoung Kim, 35, has been charged with eight counts of lewd acts on a child under 14 years old and two additional counts of lewd acts on a child under 14 years old by force.

An elementary school counselor is accused of sexually assaulting multiple students, and the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office believes he might have assaulted more children who have not yet come forward.

Wonyoung Kim, who worked as both a church youth group leader and school counselor, is in custody and is facing multiple child sex abuse charges.

Wonyoung Kim, 35, was taken into custody Wednesday in Roseville following several months of investigation into the alleged abuses, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. He faces 10 felony counts of lewd acts on a child under the age of 14, two of which deputies say were by force.
