The Georgia coast is under a tropical storm watch as Hurricane Milton churns toward the Florida coast. Stay here for updates as the storm approaches.

The tropical storm watch extends northward to include much of the South Carolina coast, too. Milton is expected to make landfall along the west coast of Florida late Wednesday. It will then move across the Florida peninsula and push out into the Atlantic and weaken.

Helene prompted hurricane and flash flood warnings extending far beyond the coast up into northern Georgia and western North Carolina.
