Netflix has just debuted a new Tomb Raider series starring Hailey Atwell voicing Lara Croft herself, but it disappoints compared to other animated adaptations.

Tomb Raider fans, bless them, spend a lot of time wondering how the series all syncs up. If the Lara Croft we saw in the original ’90s games is the same one as the rougher-around-the-edges Lara from the Survivor trilogy, then what happened in between to have it all make sense?

Atwell, who showcased her action chops in last year's Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, also points to her time working on the first season of Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft as a key reason behind why she would happily come back for more globetrotting adventures.
