In June, Charles hosted a state visit by Japan's Emperor Naruhito - the first such event since the British monarch returned to public work after receiving treatment for an unspecified type of cancer earlier in the year.

King Charles and Queen Camilla will be having a busy end-of-year, with a visit from the Qatar royals booked for December. His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, will be accompanied by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani when they visit the UK from December 3 to December 4.
