As we enter the dog days of summer, Netflix's August slate of movies is giving us something to look forward to. This month, the platform is dropping dozens of new films, including some great originals like the romance My Oxford Year, starring Sofia Carson, and the ensemble mystery The Thursday Murder Club.

This August is a good month to be a Netflix subscriber and a romance fan. Even though there are plenty of swoonworthy movies and shows that we’re sad to see go — including A Discovery of Witches and Interview With the Vampire — we’re excited to dive into all of the love-centric content being added to the streaming service’s library.
