Nelly Korda won’t ever forget her amazing run of five straight LPGA Tour victories, including the Chevron Championship, last year. The world’s No. 1 player knows too well that none of that means a thing this week as she prepares to defend her title at the season’s first major.

Korda won her fifth consecutive event at last year's Chevron. The difference this year, she said, is that the putts aren't falling.

Ko was the LPGA’s player of the year in 2019 when she won two majors—the Chevron and Evian. She has three top-10s in this major, too. Ko started the year by finishing in the top five in the first two events, including a second-place finish at the Founders Cup.
