Oregon Ducks head coach Dan Lanning has dealt with the process of having a position coach leave for a higher-paying job and further his career before. On Sunday morning, however, it became public that Lanning would likely have to spend the next few weeks trying to replace one of the best coaches on his staff.

According to reports from ESPN and The Fort Worth Star-Telegram’s Nick Harris, the Cowboys are expected to hire Oregon co-offensive coordinator Junior Adams as their next wide receivers coach. Adams has served as a co-offensive coordinator on Dan Lanning’s Oregon staff since 2022. He also worked as the Ducks’ wide receivers coach.

Oregon is in the market for a new offensive assistant coach. Junior Adams, who spent the past three seasons coaching the Ducks wide receivers, is expected to be hired to the same position with the Dallas Cowboys, according to multiple reports.
