An undocumented mother and high-profile activist was detained by ICE while she was on a work break from her job at Target, her attorney and a family friend say.

She has been at the ICE facility in Aurora since Monday when she was detained by ICE at the Target where she worked.

ICE officials detained Jeanette Vizguerra on Monday. She is currently being held in the agency’s detention facility in Aurora.

Community members gathered outside the Aurora Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention facility after a well-known immigration activist was reportedly taken into custody.
