Damage from severe weather to buildings and infrastructure along with flooding was seen Thursday across Vero Beach and all of Indian River County following the passage of Hurricane Milton.

Impacts to the area could change depending on Milton's trajectory across the state and where it makes landfall.

Indian River County has opened shelters and closed parks and beaches as Hurricane Milton continues heading toward Florida.
