A woman who died after catching fire while riding a motorized scooter on Monday in Ely has been identified, with police saying that smoking is likely what sparked the blaze. The Ely Police Department said Marjorie Jane Hible, 80, of Ely, was a resident of the Boundary Waters Care Facility, with the fire happening outside the complex.
