Security outfit Cloudflare said it stopped a record-breaking distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack. The victims were entities within the financial services, internet, and telecommunications sectors.

The attack came from a botnet comprising hijacked Asus and MikroTik routers, along with DVRs and web servers, according to Cloudflare.
