The world’s busiest spaceport continues to break yearly launch records as more commercial space launch providers aim to add to the already busy launch cadence. Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and Kennedy Space Center, together, achieved 93 launches in 2024, far exceeding the once-ambitious goal of “Drive to 48” in 2017.

Bumper is just key to the DNA of the Cape. Not just for beginning this sequence of launches that’s gone into 75 years, but for that spirit of exploration,” said Jamie Draper, director of the Cape Canaveral Space Force Museum.

The SFA recommends creating a compensation program for all domestic fishers and processors that suffer space-related economic losses or equipment damage.
