Before the opening, Musk shared a drone shot of the new diner. In an accompanying comment, he said that if this first Tesla Diner proves popular, the company will open more of them “in major cities around the world as well as at Supercharger sites on long distance routes.”

Silva said Tesla is the catchiest iteration of the band's names and, unlike Hernandez, he feels the name is made better by the prevalence of the car company. Silva said he has a personal connection to the brand since his niece and nephew both work for Tesla in Dublin.
