Bruins notebook: Matt Poitras makes his return
After finding his game in Providence, center Matt Poitras was recalled by Boston on Tuesday and, though Charlie Coyle (illness) was a game-time decision, the 20-year-old Poitras was set to be in the lineup against the Tampa Bay Lightning regardless of Coyle’s status.
Bruins giving Poitras another chance in NHL after strong AHL stint
The Boston Bruins need secondary scoring, and on Tuesday they called up one of their top prospects from the Providence Bruins to help them achieve that. Matt Poitras has re-joined the Bruins and will play Tuesday night when the Original Six club hosts the Tampa Bay Lightning at TD Garden.
