BMC has introduced new guidelines to combat Mumbai's worsening air pollution, including road dust cleaning, water sprinklers at construction sites, and stricter rules on waste burning and debris transport.

BMC has prohibited the use of wood or similar materials as fuel for cooking and the lighting of bonfires at construction sites. The adequate measures are being taken to curb the pollution in the city.

This move comes in response to growing concerns over deteriorating air quality in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
