Let's have a double-episode on Thursday on "The Joe Gaither Show on BamaCentral" as we look to catch up in a busy week. Our first episode of the day centers around our time in Birmingham as SEC Media Days was held on Tuesday to get everyone excited for the new season.

Here's a look at the 2024-25 SEC basketball preseason poll and all-conference teams, led by Alabama and Mark Sears:

New conference additions Texas and Oklahoma give the SEC seven teams in the Top 25. Joining them are South Carolina, LSU, No. 20 Ole Miss, No. 22 Kentucky and Alabama. The ACC and Big Ten each have six ranked teams while the Big 12 has four. UConn and Creighton give the Big East two teams.

Ohio State women's basketball is ranked No. 14 in the Associated Press preseason poll. The ranking is seven spots behind where the Buckeyes started the 2023-24 season at No. 7, and makes Ohio State the third-highest ranked team in the Big Ten.

Caitlin Clark and Iowa lead the pack, but five Big Ten teams are ranked in the preseason US LBM Coaches Poll. Here's how the top 25 shakes out:

Nebraska women’s basketball is ranked 23rd in the preseason AP top 25. They are joining a slew of Big Ten teams in the process. USC is the highest-rated team, at No.3 overall, while
