My wife and I did both the self guided 11 day Giro di Puglia Tour followed by the 7 day Bike & Trulli based in Figazzano in May 2019. We are recreational cyclists in our 60’s (okay, I’m 69) and in good shape and we did not find a problem with the hills. The first 2 days of the 11 day tour have more hills than the later stages, but the hills are not too strenuous. While the rides on the Bike & Trulli are much shorter than the 11 day tour, we found the hills steeper and more challenging, so you may want to take that into consideration. We did a self guided cycling trip in Tuscany in 2017. The hills in Tuscany are far more challenging than those in Puglia. The bikes provided are excellent - If you are concerned about the hills or your fitness level, electric bicycles are also available which would alleviate any problems. Puglia Cycle Tours has an awesome staff and excels in customer service so I am sure you will enjoy your trip.
Hi there, I'm coming for a week's holiday, staying in Massafra. My husband is a keen road cyclist and looking to rent a good quality carbon bike while we're there, to do some early morning rides.
