There is no charge for access to the fort or to the museum. There is a donation box at the exit of the museum as well as a very small gift shop area at the museum exit. The fort would be a good place for a walking tour, both inside the moat and around the seawall area. There are several restaurants on the property. You would need to make arrangements with them for a large group. It might be better to bring a sack lunch. Thursday evenings during the summer there is usually a free concert at the gazebo near the Chamberlain hotel. Suggest bring camping chairs or blankets -- also bug spray.
