Maaninka is a former municipality in the region of Northern Savonia, in Finland. It was merged with the city of Kuopio on 1 January 2015. The municipality had a population of 3,747 and it covered an area of 575.13 square kilometres of which 108.62 square kilometres was water. The population density was 8.03 inhabitants per square kilometre.
