Get the bus to Corralejo (main town at the top of the island). You can get a ferry to Lanzarote (if you wish) or Isla de Lobo's with its circa 20 minute ride. A bus should be easy and the ferry likewise. No issues at all. Tip there is a shop/restaurant on the island. However, they don't sell much and food requires a booking. Avoid weekends where possible. Spanish head there for the weekend. Finally, snorkeling is probably limited, however, don't let me out you off. Have a great trip.
