Excellent tour guide Jody. Wealth of knowledge and the time just flew by. Recommend for all ages and the tour guide with the golf cart tour is the way to go.Full review by James T

In my experience it depends on who your guide is, how many people are in your group, and how many questions you ask. We had a great guide when I went and we were probably with him at least an hour and a half for the two tours. There is also a small museum there. To really see it all you should probably plan for just under two hours if you really like history.

Did anyone else do the electric carts? I want to take my 4 & 6 year olds who love trains (and tunnels!) but I think they'd enjoy it more if they were riding rather than walking. Is it extra money to ride and are they on a schedule? I can't find much information about any of this online.

We took the cart out to through the tunnel. It cost a couple of dollars extra but not that much. Well worth the ride. Our 'tour guide' was very knowledgable and we very much felt the extra couple of bucks were worth it. Would recommend it highly! There was not set time, just when someone arrives and wants that service from what we could tell. As soon as we decided that we wanted the 'tour', the guide took us out right away. It wasn't very busy that particular day so that may have made a difference. Very friendly folks and very helpful. Go for it!! :-) Hope this has helped.
